Apple and Qualcomm Huge Legal Battle Kicks Off in San Diego

Apple and Qualcomm head to court in San Diego Monday, in what could be one of the biggest US corporate lawsuits Apple Chief Executivr Tim Cook is expected to give testimony in a four-week trial in a federal court in which the iPhone maker and four companies in its supply chain are suing Qualcomm for up to $27bn in damages for overcharged chip royalties.

Apple cancels AirPower Wireless Charging Mat

Apple has officially announced that the much anticipated AirPower Wireless Charger has been cancelled and will not see the light of day.First announced alongside the iPhone X in September 2017, Apple promised that the device would wirelessly charge iPhones, AirPods and Apple Watch all at the same time.

Apple TV+ launched by Apple

Apple finally announced its own premium video streaming service. Called Apple TV+, the service will offer Apple’s original programming in a redesigned Apple TV app. The Apple TV app will also be available across a range of smart TVs and platforms like Sony, LG, Samsung and even on Amazon FireTV stick and Roku devices.

Apple Card is Apple’s new Credit Card

Apple launched a credit card at the “Show Time” event called Apple Card. It’s an actual titanium-based MasterCard credit card made in partnership with Goldman Sachs. The card has no late fees, annual fees, over limit fees, and international fees. The card will have your name etched with laser on the card.

Apple launches Apple News Plus Service

Apple has announced its Apple News Plus service, which integrates magazines with its Apple News service. The new service will feature over 300 magazines like National Geographic, Men’s Health, Vogue and others.

Apple launches second generation Airpods with Wireless Charging Case

Apple has announced the second generation of its AirPods, which include the new in-house H1 chip developed for headphones and the option of either a standard case or new Wireless Charging Case. The AirPods also offer hands-free Siri for the first time. Apple says H1 offers up to 50% more talk time than the prior generation and 2x faster connection times.

Apple responds to Spotify antitrust complaint

Apple has accused Spotify of “misleading rhetoric” in a response to Spotify's antitrust complaint in Europe, pulling no punches as it accused Spotify of “trying to squeeze” artists, musicians and songwriters, in the same way that it was trying to “make more money off others’ work” in the App Store, pointing to Spotify’s appeal against a proposed increase to its US royalty payments.

Apple opens up Registration for WWDC 2019

Apple will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Jose from June 3 through June 7 at the McEnery Convention Center. Apple releases iOS 12.2 Public Beta Four

Apple has released the fourth iOS 12.2 public beta for iPhone and iPad. Members of Apple's Beta Software Program can download the previews now and register devices now. If you have already installed iOS 12.2 public beta 3, then you can simply update using your iPhone in the normal manner.

Apple has released the fourth iOS 12.2 developer beta for iPhone bringing updates for Apple TV. There is a new icon for Apple News app and a new glyph for Apple TV remote in Control Center.In addition, there is a new animation when invoking Apple TV remote in CC and a new remote glyph for Apple TV remote in AirPlay 2 interface.
